Diesel Muffler
As hot high-pressure gases exit an internal combustion
engine, they make very loud noises. Diesel Mufflers are installed on
cars to muffle those noises and make the car acceptably quiet. If you
have any doubts about the necessity of mufflers, visit an NHRA drag
race event and see how loud engines can be when they exhaust directly
to the atmosphere.
A muffler for a Diesel engine includes a case comprising a pair of case
halves coupled together and divided into a first chamber and a second
chamber by a partition plate. A communication orifice is formed in the
partition plate at a location offset from the recess and closer to the
first end portion than the inlet.
Having this Diesel Muffler on a Diesel engine will make the world of
difference in the sound of your car. Nobody like having that clunker
sound, so do not go without a Diesel Muffler.
